Dear Jane’s
Dear John evokes the rat pack era, dark and heavy rooms, masculine, and heavy. Imagine Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin crooning to an audience shrouded in dark rooms in a land-locked Las Vegas.
Dear Jane’s aims to tap into nostalgia but flips this into a celebration of femininity. Imagine a roaring Gatsby party elegance: unburdened movement. Skirts were short and full of flapper shag that would twist and snap with every Charleston step. Cigarettes were stretched long, wisps of smoke dancing even at rest. Everything was about electrical connectivity, and shared experiences. Rich velvets softly illuminated by the warm glow of intimate lights while the clink of glasses and carefree laughter keep things light and airy. There were no boundaries; the open seas were to be danced in, surrounded by sand, sun, and twinkling stars.
Dear Jane’s is the best of two worlds. The casual dining room opens out with large windows, bringing in the easy ocean air and unfiltered sunshine. A backdrop of lighthearted sailboats calls to the teak deck flooring that sets the stage for familiar dining booths in happy yellow and retro blues, clad in custom upholstery featuring Dear Jane’s signature fish. Sectioned nautical floats extend playful buoyancy, while grounded against a stunning and glittering wall of black sand, punctuated by natural glowing lava rocks.
The color palette takes from the most popular colors from 1920-2020, creating a cohesive bridge that spans a century- taking the best of the best and harmonizing them into a sophisticated aesthetic.
